134DD Exhaust FAQ's and common misconceptions:

Q: Why is your system more expensive than other slip-ons? A: It isn't a slip-on. It is available in two different options (1) a full system which replaces the entire exhaust system or (2) a partial system that replaces the entire stock 2 into 1 but retains the short header pipes from the cylinder head to near the swingarm pivot. Slip-ons only replace the stock mufflers and retain all the original "plumbing".

Q: Is it loud? A: Yes but it isn't obnoxious. It meets Infineon's 103dB limit. For the street - that's your own call...

Q: Can I go back to stock easily if I want to? A: Yes with the replacement 2 into 1 going back to stock is about a 45 minute uninstall...but why would you want to?

Q: I don't believe the dyno charts - are you guys tweaking the charts? A: No. We specifically used an independent dyno operator who has no association with Double Dog to do the dyno runs. Their phone number is on the chart if you'd like to discuss their methods with them....

Q: The only gain from the exhaust is due to the Nemesis ECU and not the pipe. A: Not true. The Nemesis ECU with our own engine map yields even more power, but even using the stock or Termignioni ECU we are making more power than both throughout the mid-range - 10HP over the Termi with only a change to our exhaust.

DD2R Carbon Fiber Tail FAQ's and common misconceptions:

Q: If I crash can I replace the carbon fiber fairing over the sub-frame? A: There is no sub-frame and there is no fairing. The CF tail is a single piece that replaces the more conventional steel frame and separate fairing. If you crash we recommend visually inspecting the monocoque for cracks, but it is designed to be stronger than the stock subframe.

Q: I can buy a 1098 carbon fiber tail fairing on eBay for $300 - why would I buy yours? A: Because with a carbon fiber fairing you are only replacing the stock plastic for a slight weight savings of less than a pound and is more about the look than the performance. Replacing the entire frame and faring with our product removes significant weight from high up over the back wheel and you will feel the difference.

Q: Is it street legal. A: No, only because it doesn't have indicators or a brake light integrated into it. However on our own bike we added an easily removable all-in-one license plate holder, brake light and indicators for quick removal for track days and we can recommend a source for the parts if you'd like.

Q: Can I paint it? A: Sure but it covers up that pretty carbon fiber matting...
